Hilltop Conservancy: Hilltop -- western route, new gate installed

Hi everyone:

If you use the Courter Lane entrance to the park, you have probably noticed the 
new swing-arm gate that was installed this past week, at the point where Hilltop 
Drive crosses the western route (Hilltop Drive is the street currently dead-ends 
with a culvert).  We've been having an issue with a landscaper dumping his yard 
waste (branches, leaves, grass clippings, trash) inside the park, so we had to 
eliminate his access in order to stop the dumping.

The Parks Dept. will be removing the piles of dumped waste shortly, as well 
as locking the padlock on the gate.  Hikers and cyclists can easily step around 
the left-hand side of the gate to enter the park, so the gate should not impede 
your access.
